How do I view or modify my reservation?

  • Use this link to view, modify, or cancel any reservation made online on our website. Please call the hotel at 800-662-8899 for assistance with reservations made directly with us by phone.

I booked on a website other than the hotel website and I need to make a change to my reservation. How do I do this?

  • Please contact the customer service department at the website you used to make your reservation.

What is your cancellation/deposit policy?

  • Varies by reservation, please review your confirmation letter for details.

Is my ID/passport required at check in?

  • Yes, a valid government-issued picture ID is required for check-in.

Is a credit card needed at check in?

  • Yes.

Can you pay with cash at check in?

  • Yes, you may pay with cash but must have an authorized credit card on file for incidentals.

What age do kids stay for free?

  • Kids 19 and under stay for free in existing bedding when accompanying an adult.

Will your rooms allow rollaways and cribs? Is there a charge?

  • All rooms can accommodate cribs, and they are available through the front desk free of charge. We do have a limited number of rollaways available for an additional $10 plus tax fee per night (based on availability) and these may be accommodated in select rooms.

Do you have connecting rooms?

  • Yes, connecting rooms can be requested but not guaranteed and we also feature spacious suites perfect for families and extended stays.

Do you offer extended stay rooms and rates?

  • Yes, we feature a variety of spacious suites and more for comfortable family, group, or extended stay travel. Please contact our reservations department at 800-662-8899 for more information. (Maximum stay of 29 nights).

Do you offer Government and Military rates?

  • Yes. Valid ID and orders are required at check-in.

Do you offer continental breakfast?

  • The Point Loma Café offers continental breakfast options at menu prices.

Do refrigerators and microwaves come in the rooms?

  • All rooms include a refrigerator. Executive rooms and suites also include a microwave.

Do you have rooms with kitchens?

  • No, but all rooms do have a refrigerator and some rooms include a microwave.

Do you have accessible rooms?

  • Yes, we have accessible rooms. Some of these rooms include modified bath tubs with bars and added facility, and some include a roll-in shower. For more information on the accessible features of our hotel, please call 800-662-8899.

Do you have an early departure fee?

  • Yes, we do. A one night room and tax charge may apply.

Is there a fee if I do not show up to check in to my reservation?

  • Yes. One night room and tax will be charged.


What is check in/check out time?

  • Check-in time is from 4 PM onward, and check-out time is 12 PM.

Can I guarantee an early check-in or late check-out?

  • Early check-ins are based on availability on the day of arrival only. Late check-outs are based on availability on the day of departure only. Please contact the front desk of our San Diego hotel to request a late check out on your departure date.

Do you allow smoking on property or in your guest rooms?

  • There is no smoking allowed inside the property, including in all guestrooms. The Holiday Inn San Diego Bayside will assess a fee of $250 to guests that choose to smoke in guest rooms.

Do you have high-speed wired and/or wireless internet access available?

  • Wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel and is available in all guest rooms.

How much do you charge for high-speed WiFi Internet access?

  • There is no charge for Wifi access.

Do you have refrigerators and microwaves in your guest rooms and suites?

  • All rooms have a refrigerator. Select rooms have microwaves. See our accommodations page for details.

Do you have a fitness center? What kind of equipment does it have? What are the hours?

  • Yes. Exercise room is open to hotel guests 24 hours a day.

Do you offer bikes for use during my stay?

  • Yes. Bikes are available to guests of the hotel. They are free of charge for the first 2 hours and there is a charge of $5 per hour per bike after that.

Do you have a business center?

  • Yes. The Business Center is open to hotel guests 24 hours a day.

Do you have a gift shop?

  • Yes. We have gift shop and a separate 24 hour sundry shop located in our hotel lobby.

Do you have a pool?

  • Yes. The hotel has a heated outdoor pool (82 degrees) and hot tub. Pool area is open from 8am until 11pm daily, year round.

Does your hotel supply wheel chairs and strollers?

  • Wheelchairs are available at no charge (limited availability, please call the front desk in advance of stay). Strollers are not available.

Is there washer/dryer accessibility within your hotel?

  • Yes. We do have guest laundry facilities. Dry cleaning is also available.

Do you have onsite parking? What is the cost?

  • Yes. Guest parking fee is $14 per day. Please contact reservations for our "Park, Stay and Go" room package rates.

Do you offer valet parking?

  • No. All parking is self-parking.

Do you charge a resort fee? If so, what is included?

  • No.

How can I pay for another person's room?

  • We do accept 3rd party payment via credit card authorization. Please contact the front desk at 619-224-3621 to request an authorization form.


Are pets allowed?

  • No. Holiday Inn San Diego Bayside will assess a special cleaning fee of $250 to guests that bring pets without permission.

How far is the hotel from the San Diego Airport?

  • Holiday Inn San Diego Bayside is located 2 miles from San Diego's Lindbergh Field, and we offer complimentary shuttle service 24 hours a day.

Do you offer shuttle service from the airport?

  • Yes. We offer free airport shuttle service, 24 hours a day, for arriving and departing guests. Please call the hotel after collecting your luggage.

How far away are you from local attractions like the beach, The San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld, Legoland, and the San Diego Zoo's Safari Park?

Do you offer shuttle service to local attractions?

  • Yes. We offer free shuttle to and from the cruise ship terminal for arriving and departing guests. Please call the hotel after disembarking the cruise ship. No shuttle service is provided to area attractions.
